GURUDWARA ADHARTAL JABALPUR (M.P) INDIA WELCOMES ALL DEVOTEES

INTRODUCTION

The Gurudwara Adhartal is managed by “SRI GURU SINGH SABHA, ADHARTAL, JABALPUR. The Gurudwara is registered under registration No. 04/14/01/09797/07. It is situated in Jai Prakash Nagar, Adhartal, Jabalpur, on NH 7. The approach to the Gurudwara is from :


1. Jai Prakash Nagar entrance near Adhartal Chumgi Naka
2. Dhani Ki Kutia Road ( Marriage Ground near NH 7 ) to Durga Mandir to Sirdi Sai Mandir.

The “SRI GURU SINGH SABHA, ADHARTAL, JABALPUR was constituted in the year 1994 by the Sangat of Adhartal, Jabalpur when Late Sardar Madan Singh Sandhu S/o Late Sardar Bhan Singh Sandhu donated a plot measuring 80’ x 60’ for the construction of the Gurudwara building. The construction of the Gurudwara building was stated in the year 1994. The Gursikhs who took active part in the development were : Late S. Ajmer Singh Saini, Late S. Ram Singh Wadhawan, Late S. Ranjit Singh Arora, S. Harbhajan Singh Reel, Smt. Raj Kaur Duggal, Late S. Tirath Singh Sodhi, S. Pritam Singh, S. Inder Singh Gandhoke, S. Santokh Singh Saini.


In 1994 S. Ajmer Singh Saini was elected President of the Sabha, S. Ranjit Singh Arora was elected Secretary and S. Ram Singh Wadhawan was elected as Treasurar.


In 1997 after the demise of S. Ajmer Singh Saini, S. Harbhajan Singh Reel was elected as President of the Sabha. The Gurudwara building was completed in 1999. The inaugural ceremony was held on 28.04.1999. Devotees of all caste and creed participated in the inaugural ceremony.

The Sabha later in 2002 & 2003 purchased land measuring 15000’for the use of the Gurudwara.


After the demise of S Madan Singh Sandhu, his wife Smt. Krishna Sandhu donated 44000 sq. ft. land adjacent to the Gurudwara building for the construction of Sarower for the Gurudwara. This land already has a pond. With the development of the Sarower this will be the only Gurudwara in Jabalpur to have a Sarower.

The Sabha is celebrating Guruparb of Guru Ram Das ji in the month of October every year. The Sabha has recently purchased 14000’ for parking during the Guruparb. The payment is to be made in due course of time.
In 2004 the Sabha purchased 20’ x 30’land adjacent to the building which is proposed for utilization for “Joda Ghar”.

The Sabha has recently constructed five big rooms, toilets for ladies and gents separately with latest fittings. A langar hall has also been constructed measuring 100’ x 15’. Langar is served on or after Sangrand every month. The langar hall also has standing utensils washing arrangement with granite fittings to maintain cleanliness in the Gurudwara.

The building is yet to be provided exterior outlook of the Gurudwara with “Gumbajs” etc. The construction of Sarower will also be done in due course of time. These works will be completed subject to availability of funds because there are limited Sikh families in the vicinity.

The Present Granthis performing Sabad kirtan and relevant daily rituals in the morning and evening in the Gurudwara Premises are :

S Harbhajan Singh

Lastly it is worth mentioning that though there are limited Sikh families in the vicinity, all are fully devoted Sikhs. They visit the Gurudwara regularly for the blissful vision of the Guru. The Committee is proud of them and prays to the almighty to bestow the blissful vision to all Devotees of the gurudwara.
